Proiectul aparține lui Alex Tooby, social media strategist din Vancouver, British Columbia, și preia poze cu bărbați care beau cafea sau țin o cafea în mână, adunate cu ajutorul hashtag-ului #menandcoffee. În februarie 2015, Alex a început și Instagramul Women and coffee.
